I'm noticing flights out of DMK are cheaper than out of BKK. Is either airport more convenient, closer, easier to navigate etc to the city center? Also, there are several airlines serving this route. Overweight you pay extra. *Your hotel in Bangkok will probably hold some clothing or other stuff for you so you can visit Myanmar with less unneeded items. They do expect you return and stay another night or two. Prices being the same my preference is Suvarnabhumi so I can use the cheap rail service. But your hotel has to be convenient for using Airport Rail Link or Skytrain/subway to the Rail Link. Same price in a meter taxi for one passenger or for three more. Good luck. For the airlines Air Asia charges for checked in luggage, which must be purchased beforehand. Other LCCs generally give you 15 kg checked-in luggage without charge. Taxis to either airport depends on where you are staying in Bangkok. It's a huge city and the 2 airports are within the city. For Flying international route such as going from Myanmar to Bangkok, I would prefer DMK than BKK. Had far less international arrival to DMK in comparison. For Domestic flight, there is insignificant difference. Both Airports are quite efficient, only BKK is much bigger. 9.
